Oh yes! The Oliver does look better in red and I can completely see the visual cues to Olivetti, even in its black original form. I bought a cheap-ish laptop for my son's birthday and was asked if it had a back-lit keyboard. It doesn't. I can see the possibilities here are infinite, surely a day well spent.
Amazingly diabolical! :D
This has to be my favorite typewriter modification project I've ever seen. It's just so perfect! The Oliver looks fantastic in red.And the painted ribbon spools, too! I've been thinking about doing that myself, as accent colors on otherwise black typewriters. (or at least adding silver rings around them, etc.)
Freakin awesome paint job and lighting modification! Make the switch part of the body and I think you can "manufacture" and sell them.I have one of these and it has that little english guy on the left side
What hot coolness!
