  2. Keep researching!

Maybe Clooney will share some of his look with us typospherians now that he's getting married.

  3. My local typewriter guy happens to have a supermodel-hot hiking partner who spent most of her life in Italy. Last year I stopped by his shop, and she was there with Bill - who made her say "Olivetti Lettera" for me over and over (this was entirely for his own amusement, as he just loves listening to her say it).

I can't really explain the Italian inflection or tone, but I can speak to the emphasis she placed on the syllables: Just imagine Audrey Hepburn saying "Oli-Vetti Let-Ter-Ah" in a most smoky and playful timbre.

  4. Keep at it! Any heart that fails to melt in proximity to that Lettera is made of stone.

  5. Probably a group of typers is less intimidating to the unaccompanied female than a solo typer. So the iron was probably as hot as it was going to get at the type-in. Admirable ambition though! :)
