Typewriter newbie's eureka moment no.1

  1. Yes indeed. I found an old laptop bag at my local thrift store for $4 which is perfect for my smaller portables.

How is it that until the late 20th century, no one thought of shoulder straps, or of embedding wheels in luggage?

By the way, your new blog image, the noiseless portable, is just beautiful.

  2. Luggage wheels... Also wheels on garbage cans- where were these when I was a young kid whose chore it was to get the garbage can to the street on pick-up days...without wheels? Even coolers have wheels now.

I know I can make my fortune if I can figure out some obvious thing that doesn't have wheels yet, but needs them.

  3. I also favor old laptop bags. I remember hauling around something as big as a portable typewriter way back when.
