It's been found on mid-50's QDLs and KMGs and I've even seen a ad offering it on Futuras along with Pica and Elite. Often the typeface was fitted by the end dealer on whatever machine you wanted. That could also explain an Elite-sized Vogue installed on a Pica-escapement typewriter, btw. I am surprised to see this "fancy" typeface on a base model Arrow from the '40s. Thanks for the nice clean picture of the type slugs. I always look for the Vogue e but pictures of the slugs usually show the middle letters. Now I will look for the vogue capital M and N as well! Not that this one is hard to love after all :)Piotr Trumpielhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06849313715621355838noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2148042824646680264.post-68999678906155430172016-08-21T13:08:48.048-07:002016-08-21T13:08:48.048-07:00Great find! I think this is pretty late for a Vogue machine; even though the typeface was available for decades, it was most popular around 1930.Richard Phttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16232053429935587826noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2148042824646680264.post-75568018342571842652016-08-20T12:57:36.950-07:002016-08-20T12:57:36.950-07:00Thank you Bill. I guess on this side of the pond we cannot be choosy when it comes to Royal Vogues so we'd better grab one when it comes along - in such case all resolutions go out the window :).Piotr Trumpielhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06849313715621355838noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2148042824646680264.post-54397944527651064342016-08-20T12:04:49.477-07:002016-08-20T12:04:49.477-07:00Congratulations! I noticed that it was vogue from the bad pics too, and would have been bidding if I had not been away! So nice to see decent pictures of it, and I'm glad it arrived safely.
